Furnace Tender
Location: Le Sueur, MN
Starting Pay: $23 + $1.25 shift differential and $1.75 shift premium

Must have previous forklift experience
Position Summary: Performs a variety of tasks such as alloying metals to specification, re-melting scrap; transferring and pouring molten metal into molds, bull ladles, or trucks; regulating furnace/metal temperature; stirring furnace, skimming off dross and cold flux; maintaining and cleaning furnace, making repairs; delivering ingots and molten metal to casting machines; or monitoring, identifying and labeling ingot inventory. Inspects for quality, defects, and deviations from specifications.
Minimum Education: Reading and understanding English language work instructions
Preferred Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Skills/Experience: Six months of forklift experience, effective computer use, basic Math skills, independent decision-making, and effective self-management.
Preferred Skills/Experience: One year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment
