Job Description:
Network Security Engineer
Location: On-site at airport facility (Austin)
Duration: 6-month contract (with potential extension or FTE conversion)
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time on-site
Role Summary:
The Cybersecurity Analyst Senior will serve as a Network Security Engineer responsible for managing, maintaining, and implementing network security infrastructure. The role requires hands-on expertise in firewalls, routing, and identity access management systems, with a focus on operational readiness and rapid response in a complex airport environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and configure firewalls (Cisco and Palo Alto)
- Handle routing and network segmentation
- Administer Cisco ISE for identity and access management
- Implement new devices based on architectural designs
- Replace outdated hardware and deploy new systems
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Respond to network security incidents and troubleshoot issues
- Participate in on-site assessments to validate technical proficiency
Required Skills:
- Expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls
- Strong understanding of network routing protocols
- Experience with Cisco ISE or similar IAM tools
- Ability to implement designs provided by the architect
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: CCNP (Cisco) or PCNSE (Palo Alto)
- Experience: 2–3 years in a similar role
- Proven ability to deploy and replace network devices
- Familiarity with airport or high-security environments
